Pyramid Spikes are a versatile track & field spike for use on synthetic tracks. They are a popular choice for sprinters, middle distance and field event athletes and the preferred spike for long distance runners.
These spikes are a custom 3/16th of an inch (4.8mm) spike, the shortest in our range. These spikes are suitable for use at the Griffith Regional Sports Centre and some other tracks, where the local councils specify that spikes can be no longer than 5mm.
Fast delivery via Australia Post. You can upgrade to Express Post delivery for $9.99.
All replacement spikes sold on Spikes.au have a universal thread used in all modern athletics spike shoes. That means they will fit all spike shoes from major brands including Nike, Adidas, ASICS, Puma, New Balance, On and Saucony.
If your shoes originally came with removable metal spikes, these replacements will fit.
For most athletes competing on synthetic athletics tracks, 6mm spikes are the standard and are accepted at almost all venues.
For other surfaces:
β’ 9mm spikes are commonly used for cross country
β’ 12mm spikes are typically used for grass surfaces or very soft ground

Yes. A spike key (also called a spike wrench) is used to remove old spikes and securely tighten new ones into your shoes.
Most spike shoes include a spike key when purchased, but they can easily be lost over time.
If you donβt already have one, we recommend adding a spike key to your order so you can quickly and easily install your new spikes.
