Replacement Athletics Spikes for Track, Cross Country and Grass
Replacement spikes are used in athletics shoes to provide grip and traction on different surfaces. Athletes typically replace spikes several times each season as they wear down through training and competition.
Most track events use 5mm–7mm pyramid or Christmas tree spikes on synthetic tracks, while 9mm spikes are commonly used for cross country events. On grass tracks, athletes may use 12mm or 15mm spikes depending on the softness of the surface.
